Apple Might Mouse - Did I ever tell you how much I loved this mouse when it came with my brand new 20” iMac back in 2008? I really did. And then it died the dead of most Mighty Mouses. The scroll ball got stuck and no amount of cleaning got it back to working condition. I was so sad. New Apple cable mouses were getting a rare find by then and I was not willing to shell out 40 to 50 EUR for a new one. No way. Well, go cable-less, you might say. With a little kid around that loves hiding stuff cable-less mouse wasn’t  really an option. Besides, have you seen the price tags on those? So I just bought a cheap white Microsoft mouse that’s been doing it’s thing very nicely. Still, it was not the same. And the cable was stupidly long.
Now the husband scored a used Mighty Mouse at his company’s annual flea market for 1 EUR or something equally ridiculous. It’s as good as new and looks so lovely on my desk. *sigh* Sometimes it’s the small things :-)

Spyderco Pingo - Great little knife. Sharp as ouch. Wonderful cooperation between famous Danish knifemakers Jens Anso and Jesper Voxnaes. Totally legal in Denmark (two-hand opening and non-locking) but also quite useful here in Germany, were one-hand opening knives are only allowed if they don’t lock. I didn’t even know this one went into production until the best husband of all got it for me as a Christmas present :-*

Three little Opinels

1.  Opinel Outdoor, No. 8, stainless steel

2. Opinel Kids, No. 7, rounded tip, stainless steel

3. Opinel No. 6 in Walnut, stainless steel

Latest additions to my knife collection. Absolutely classic design even in the latest interpretation as an outdoor knife. Even though I was a bit disappointed that this so called outdoor knife one did not come very sharp out of the box, in comparison with other Opinel knives I’ve held in hand.

Video

I’ve seen this a while back and just found it again. It’s startling in content as well as way of presentation.
